ORIGIN ?

Commandments of the Soul was born from years of personal reflection, lived experience, and questions that refused to stay quiet.

After going through books, studying ideas, listening to people talk about life, success, healing, and purpose, I started noticing a pattern. Some things worked. Some things did not. And a lot of what sounded good on paper did not hold up in real life. People would ask what I was reading or where my mindset came from, but the truth is the biggest lessons did not come from a single book. They came from experience. From trial and error. From paying attention.

So instead of pointing people outward, I wrote inward. I wrote down what actually helped me, what I had to unlearn, what I wish I understood earlier, and what slowly shaped the way I move through the world now.

This book is not theory. It is not me repeating someone else’s wisdom. It is me passing along what I have learned the same way someone once did for me honestly, directly, and with the hope that it helps you find your footing a little sooner.

I speak to the part of you that knows.

PURPOSE

We live in a time where people are increasingly disconnected from themselves, taught how to perform and adapt before learning how to listen inwardly. Identity becomes borrowed, direction becomes external, and over time this separation produces doubt, imposter syndrome, and relentless self-criticism. Commandments of the Soul exists to confront that condition. It is not written to tell people who to become, but to help them recognize what they have silenced or abandoned within themselves, and to restore inner authority through honest reflection, discipline, and self-examination. Many reach the later years of life having fulfilled roles and expectations, only to realize they have existed rather than lived deliberately for themselves. This work is an attempt to interrupt that pattern to offer something that can be returned to over time, outlive a name, and remain useful to anyone seeking clarity, alignment, and a more intentional way of living.
